AREA NATIVE DIES AT 67 IN HOSPITAL
Joseph Stoffel, 67, of 1041 Main St., Lomira, died at 10 p.m. Thursday at St. Agnes Hospital.
He was born Nov. 19, 1901, in the Town of Lomira, a son of Peter and Elizabeth Steichen Stoffel. He married Anna Rohlinger on Sept. 1, 1925 at St. Mary’s Church in Fond du Lac.
Before his retirement he was employed by Muehlius Construction Co., Lomira for over 20 years.
Mr. Stoffel is survived by his widow; one son, Roger of Lomira; three grandchildren and two sisters, Miss Johanna Stoffel of Milwaukee and Mrs. Art Zehren of rural Lomira. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be held at 9:45 a.m. Monday at Kietzer Funeral Home, Lomira, and 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, Lomira, with the Rev. Ernest Dreher officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
