Obituary
Krisetta ‘Kris' M. Kuen, 44, of Lomira, Wis., passed away on Thursday, Jan. 13, 2011, at the Christian Home in Waupun after a courageous battle with cancer.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday at 1 p.m. at St. Andrew Catholic Church in LeRoy, Wis., with the Rev. Tom Biersck and the Rev. John Schmitz presiding. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery in Byron, Wis. A visitation will be held on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass at 1 p.m.
Kris was born the daughter of Ervin and Kathleen (Frederick) Kraft on Dec. 19, 1966, in Fond du Lac, Wis.
Kris was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church. She was a graduate of Oakfield High School. Kris farmed with her father and brother at C&M dairy farm in rural Fond du Lac, where she loved to take care of the animals and also enjoyed mentoring many young people through the years. She was an FFA alumnus and also a former board member of the Equitable Reserve Association. When she wasn't busy on the farm, Kris liked to travel, go out for dinner, go shopping, and most importantly enjoyed spending time with her friends, family, and her dog Bear.
Kris is survived by her husband Dan Kuen of Lomira; her parents Ervin and Kathleen Kraft of Oakfield; her daughter Ashley (Andrew) Vande Zande of Waupun; her brothers Ervin Jr. (Carol) Kraft of Barron, Charlie (Mary) Kraft of Fond du Lac, and Fred (Tammy) Kraft of Tony; her sisters Sharon (Peter) Schmeckel of Union Grove, and Karen Kraft of Oakfield; her special friend Emily Franke and her loving dog Bear. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
A special thank you to the staff at the Christian Home in Waupun, and all those who came and visited Kris and shared prayers and support with the family.
