LUCY CAROLINE WENINGER

Lucy Caroline Weninger, 96, of N1799 Pole Road, Brownsville, died Sunday, Oct. 10, 1999, at Hope Health and Rehabilitation Center, Lomira.
She was born Aug. 16, 1903, in the Town of LeRoy to George P. and Carolina (Adelmeyer) Oechsner. On Sept. 25, 1923, she married Jacob P. Weninger at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, LeRoy.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Lomira, for 76 years and its Ladies of St. Mary's. She was a member of the former 500 Club. Lucy was an avid gardener and took great pride in her vegetable garden.
Survivors include five sons, Kenneth (Eva) Weninger of East Dubuque, Ill., Robert Weninger of Brownsville, Rodger of Mayville, Michael (Rosemary) of Van Dyne, George (Maryann) of Lomira; three daughters, Imelda (Leroy) Ritger of West Bend, Elizabeth Beck of Lomira, Marie Grabow of Cedarburg and Catherine Teitz of Milwaukee; a special lifelong friend, Helen Schrauth of Campbellsport; special neighbors, Pam and Mike Malesavich and family of Brownsville; 23 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob P. Weninger in 1971; a son, Cornelius Weninger; and three daughters, Mary Weninger, Caroline Emmer and Margaret Feucht; three sisters, Nora Ertl, Rose Thurk and Gertrude Oechsner; and three brothers, Phillip Oechsner, Rudolph Oechsner, Roman Oechsner and Norbert Oechsner.
Visitation: From 3:30 to 7 p.m. today, Oct. 13, at the Kietzer Funeral Home, Lomira.
Services: The funeral Mass will be held at 7:30 p.m. today at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Lomira. The Rev. Richard Breitbach will officiate. Private burial will be held at the parish cemetery on Thursday.
