MRS. LYDIA OGLE

Mrs. Lydia S. Ogle, 83, formerly of Oakfield, died Tuesday, March 4, 1986, at Americana Healthcare Center.

Mrs. Ogle was born Feb. 15, 1903, a daughter of Otto and Ida Held Jacob at Burlington.  On Jan. 18, 1922, she was married to John B. Ogle at Sheboygan.  The couple had resided in Oakfield since 1929.  She was a member of St. James Catholic Church, Oakfield, its Altar Society, the Daughters of Isabella and the Christian Mothers Society.  She was also a member of the Oakfield Senior Center.   She had been the librarian at the Oakfield Library for 23 years, retiring in 1979.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Dolores Peters of Byron, Mrs. Donald (Carita) Fisher of Waldo and Mrs. Joseph (Mary) Gilles of Oakfield; two sons, Roger of Oakfield and Gerald of Fond du Lac; 22 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; four step grandchildren; three great-step-grandchildren; one great-great-step grandson; and three sisters, Mrs. Clarence (Leona) Rommelfanger of Cascade, Mrs. Elisworth (Doris) Lammers of Cedarburg and Mrs. Norman (Edythe) Gartman of Sheboygan.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1975; one son, three brothers and four sisters.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, Oakfield.  The Rev. Peter Drenzek will officiate.  Burial will be in Avoca Cemetery, Oakfield.

Friends may call Thursday from 3 to 9 p.m. at the Kohls Funeral Home, Oakfield.
