MARGENA F. AGERS
Miss Margena F. Agers, 80, of Route 2, Town of Byron, died at 5:45 p.m. Saturday at St. Agnes Hospital.
She was born July 4, 1892, in the Town of Byron, the daughter of John and Helen Burke Agers.
Miss Agers taught at the Lomira Public School until she retired in 1967. Prior to teaching in Lomira she taught in the Town of Byron, and served as a substitute teacher until the time of her death.
She was a member of the National Retired Teachers Association, the Wisconsin Education Association, St. John’s Catholic Church of Byron, the Altar and Rosary Society and the Daughters of Isabella.
Survivors include three brothers, Urban, Ralph and Claude, all of Route 2; and one sister, Miss Hazel Agers, Route 2.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday from the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and at 10:30 a.m. from St. John’s Catholic Church, Byron. The Rev. Richard Fechhelm will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
