MAMIE STERR
Mrs. Mamie Sterr, 95, of 1034 Main St., Lomira, died Sunday, Dec. 17, 1989, at the home of her son in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
She was born June 29, 1894, in the Town of Lomira, a daughter of Nickolas and Mar Bintzler Hesprich. On Oct. 9, 1917, she married Melvin C. Sterr at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Lomira.
Mrs. Sterr was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Lomira, the church’s Christian Mothers, Lelgion of Mary, and Bintzler-Waehler American Legion Post No. 347 Auxiliary of Lomira.
Survivors include four sons, Dr. Ambrose and his wife Lois of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., Roger and his wife Bernice and Gerald and his wife Veronica, both of Lomira, and Tom and his wife Judy of Waukesha; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one brother, Eli P. Hesprich of Lomira; and one sister, Sister St. Paul Hesprich of Manitowoc. Preceding her in death were her husband, one grandson, and one brother.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Lomira. The Rev. Steve Stradinger will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call at the church Thursday from 9:30 to 11 a.m.
Memorials in her name may be directed to Hospice Hope of Palm Beach County, Florida.
