MRS. MARY WALTHER
Mrs. Mary M. Walther, 87, formerly of Lomira, died Sunday at the Clearview Nursing Home, Juneau.
Born Oct. 26, 1878, she was the daughter of John and Catherine Zehren Wietor of Lomira. She married Edgar Walther Jan. 19, 1897, in Milwaukee. They resided in Milwaukee until 1923, then moved to Lomira, where they operated a grocery store for 25 years. She was a member of St Mary’s Catholic Church, Lomira, and the Christian Mothers Society.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Dorothea Waegerle, two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Mrs. Walther is also survived by eight foster children she raised following the death of her brother, Bartel. She was preceded in death by her husband, seven brothers and four sisters.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Kietzer Funeral Home, Lomira. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Church, Lomira, Rev. Mark J. Lyons officiating. Burial will be I the church cemetery.
