CO-OP PRESIDENT DIES THURSDAY
Nick Gindt, 72, a life-long resident of Lomira, died Thursday at his home after being ill with a complication of ailments for some time.
Mr. Gindt was born September 11, 1866, in the town of Lomira. On January 24, 1893, he was united in marriage to Miss Catherine Ohlinger, also of Lomira. After their marriage they resided on the Gindt homestead north of Lomira. After giving up farming they moved to the village. Mr. Gindt was president of the Lomira Co-Operative company for many years.
Surviving the deceased are two sons, Peter oaf Le Roy, Barney of Lomira, four daughters, Mrs. Kilian Wondra of LeRoy, Mrs. Theodore J. Clifford and Mrs. William Schenk of Chicago, Mrs. Albert Wantz of Pelham, N.Y., twenty grandchildren and two sisters, Sr. M. Olivia of Holy Family convent and Mrs. M. Theisen of Campbellsport. Mrs. Gindt preceded him in death on August 19, 1935.
Funeral services will be held on Monday morning from the home and at 9:30 from St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the Rev. Francis Elsinger officiating. Burial will be in the family lot in the church cemetery.
