Obituary

RAYMOND ROY HILT JR.

Raymond Roy Hilt Jr., 74, of 302 Milwaukee St., Lomira, died Saturday, July 26, 2003, at Theda Clark Medical Center, Neenah.

He was born Sep. 15, 1928, in Mount Calvary the son of Raymond Killian and Agnes Gundert Hilt.

On Oct. 17, 1950, he married Theresa Gertrude Schneider at St. Peter, Wis.

Throughout his life he worked a dairy farm, was a carpenter, did woodworking, and worked for Schrier Malting.  He was a member of Family of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Lomira, American Legion Post 347 Lomira, Knights of Columbus, and he was a veteran of the Korean War, stationed in Germany.   He loved his family, grandchildren and traveling.

Survivors include his wife Theresa of Lomira; children, Kathleen Heinecke of Fond du Lac, Christine (Ron) Ansay of Fredonia, JoAnn (Larry) Kikkert of Fond du Lac; David (Sally) Hilt of Bloomington, Ind., Paul (special friend Cathy Fay) of Lomira, Ronald (Kristy) Hilt of Oshkosh and Mary Beth (Craig) Eilbes of Campbellsport; 21 grandchildren; one brother, Lawrence Birschbach of Mount Calvary,; two sisters, Genevieve (Hilt) Krause of St. Peter and Rose Mary (Birschbach) Loehr of Dotyville.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jerome Birschbach and Leonard Hilt.

Services:  Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2003, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Lomira with the Rev. Kevin Kowalske officiating.  Burial will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lomira.

Visitation:  Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 29, 203, at Kietzer Funeral Home in Lomira and from 10 a.m. until the time of services on Wednesday at the church.

Kietzer Funeral Home, Lomira, is serving the family.
