MICHAEL WEYER DIES IN HOSPITAL
The Rev. Michael Weyer, 73, of 538 W. Doty St., a former Dane County priest, died Sunday night at a Madison hospital after an illness.
After his ordination in 1896 he became pastor of the Catholic Church in Martinville which he served for 27 years. Twenty years ago he was transferred to St. Mary’s church, Milwaukee, where h he retired. He has been living in Madison since.
He was born in Lomira, Wis. A sister, Mrs. Mary Zehren, Brighton, Wis., survives.
The body has been taken to Milwaukee where funeral services will be held at St. Mary’s Church Thursday at 10 a.m. After the service the body will be taken to Lomira for burial.
