RICHARD JERABEK

ABBOTSFORD – Funeral rites for Richard (Dick) Jerabek, 46, Route 1, Oakfield, formerly of Abbotsford, were at 10:15 a.m. May 28 at the Kohls Co. Funeral Home, Oakfield, and at 10:30 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church there.  Mr. Jerabek died May 25 at Veterans Administration Hospital at Wood.

Officiating was the Rev. Richard Fechhelm.  Burial was in “Avoca Cemetery, Oakfield.

Mr. Jerabek was born June 5, 1929, at Eau Claire and graduated from Oakfield High School in 1948.  On Oct. 21, 1950, at Abbotsford, he married the former Marianne Hofmann, who survives.

Mr. Jerabek served two years in the Korean War and in 1960 moved to Oakfield, where he had been an invalid the past eight years.  He was a member of Disabled American Veterans.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Del (Shelly) Weihert, Kim and Jill, all at home; a son Jay, at home; two grandchildren, his mother, Mrs. Isabelle Jerabek, Fond du Lac; two brothers, Douglas, Oakfield, and Arnold, West Allis, and six sisters, Mrs. Dolores Priebe and Mrs. Glen Mauer, both of Algoma, Mrs Burnetta Leichtman, Marshfield, Mrs. Elaine Novotney, Kewaunee, Mrs. Dorothy Jerabek, Denmark, Wis., and Mrs. Berty Hanus, Milwaukee.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Jerabek, and by a brother.
