RODGER ADOLPH WENINGER

Rodger Adolph Weninger, 74, of Fond du Lac, died peacefully at his home on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2006.

He was born on Nov. 5, 1931, in the town of Lomira, the son of the late Jacob and Lucy Oechsner Weninger.

He attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison and served his country in the U.S. Air Force.  After his honorable discharge, he was employed by Boeing Aircraft Company, later by A.O. Smith in Milwaukee and by Maysteel Corporation for many years.

Rodger was a member of Holy Family Parish-Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fond du Lac.

Survivors include four brother Robert (Pilar) Weninger of the town of Lomira, Michael (Rosemary) Weninger of Van Dyne, Kenneth Weninger of East Dubuque, Ill., and George (Mary Ann) Weninger of Thorp; two sisters, Elizabeth Beck of Bettendorf, Iowa, and Lucille Nowakoski of Milwaukee; three brothers-in-law, Leroy Ritger of West Bend, Jerome Emmer of Allenton and Richard Feucht of Brownsville; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Cornelius Weninger, four sisters, Mary Weninger in infancy, Imelda Ritger, Caroline Emmer and Margaret Feucht; a brother-in-law, Robert Nowakoski; and a sister-in-law, Eva Weninger.

Services:  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 4, 2006; at Holy Family Parish-Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fond du Lac.  The Rev. Patrick Heppe will officiate, and burial, with military graveside rites, will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Church Cemetery in Lomira.

Visitation:  Relatives and friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services on Saturday, March 4, 2006, at the church.

The Miller Funeral Home in Kewaskum is serving the family.
