ROY GASSNER
Roy Alex Gassner, 51, of 919 Main St., Lomira, died Wednesday, March 16, 1983, at St. Agnes Hospital after a short illness.
He was born July 27, 1931, at Brownsville, to Alois and Agnes Scheberl Gassner. On Sept. 8, 1951, he married Alice Dohrman at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, LeRoy.
Mr. Gassner was employed by John Deere Horicon Works for 20 years. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Lomira.‘
Survivors include his wife; a son, Don of Brownsville; a daughter, Margie of Lomira; two grandchildren; and his stepfather and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Battiste Del Ponte of LeRoy.
Also surviving are a brother, Gordon of Ashford; and two sisters, Mrs. Leon (Mae Belle Luedtke of Brownsville and Judy of Lomira. His father preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Church, Lomira. The Rev. Joseph Safiejko will officiate, and burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation for Mr. Gassner will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday at Kietzer Funeral Home, Lomira.
