RUTH A. ZUBER

Ruth A. Zuber, 76, of P.O. Box 398, Brownsville, died Thursday, March 27, 2008, at Manor Care Health Services, where she had been a resident since August 2006.

Ruth was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on April 12, 1931, the daughter of Rudolph and Charlotte Klein Berchtold.

On Nov. 25, 1950, she married Victor T. Zuber in Brooklyn, N.Y.

Ruth was a licensed practical nurse in Wyckoff Heights Hospital, Brooklyn, N.Y., and at Gottlieb Hospital in Melrose Park, Ill.  She loved music and her six children and 23 grandchildren.  She was a member of Sons of Zebedee Catholic Church-St. John’s in Byron and at one time was a Girl Scout leader in Chicago.

She is survived by her husband, Victor Zuber of Brownsville; six children, Susan Zuber, Fond du Lac, Diane (Rodney) Cadman-Zuber, Mount Calvary, Theresa A Zuber, Brownsville, Celeste (Paul) Strenn, Worcester, N.Y., Michael Zuber, Fond du Lac, and Marie Zuber, Fall River; 23 grand, great and great-great-grandchildren; and her sister, Janet (John) Brown, Charlottesville, Va.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her three sisters, Celeste, Lois and Gertrude; and her brother, Robert.

Visitation was held on Saturday, March 29, 2008, at Sons of Zebedee Catholic Church-St. John’s Church in Byron.  A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at the church.  The Rev. Michael Petersen officiated.  Burial was at St. John’s Parish Cemetery.

Masses and prayers for the family would be appreciated.
