SHAWN ‘TUNA’ D. RYAN
Shawn “Tuna” D. Ryan, 45, of 184 White St., Oakfield, died Friday, April 22, 2005, at home.
He was born a son to Dwayne “Duffy” J. and Joan R. (Pfalzgraf) Ryan on Jan. 24, 1960, in Waupun.
He attended Oakfield Public School System and was a graduate of the Class of 1978.
Shawn’s greatest joy in this world was being a “Great Dad.” He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. He was a member of the Oakfield Conservation Club.
He is survived by his son, Matthew Ryan of North Fond du Lac; mother, Joan Ryan of Oakfield, three sisters and two brothers, Brenda (David) Wilcox of Williams Bay, Wis., Beth (Robert) Roloff of Snellville, Ga., Master Sergeant Timothy (Stacey) Ryan, R.A.F. Lakenheath of England, U.K., Patrick (Tracy) Ryan of Oakfield, Mary (James) Torzala of Green Bay; 10 nieces and nephews; and aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his father on Aug. 18, 1993; maternal grandparents, Eldor and Dorothy Pfalzgraf; paternal grandparents, William and Grace Ryan; and a nephew, Shane Ryan.
Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 28, 2005, at Sons of Zebedee Catholic Church, St. James site, Oakfield, with the Rev. Michael Petersen officiating. Burial will be at Avoca Cemetery.
Visitation: The visitation is scheduled from 3 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at Mach Funeral Chapel, 31 E. Division St., Fond du Lac, and from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday at church.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name.
Mach Funeral Chapel is serving the family.
