STEPHEN J. STORTZ
Our beloved son, husband, father, and brother, Stephen J. Stortz, 44, of 419 Railroad St., Brownsville, died peacefully at his home following a courageous battle with cancer, on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2002.
He was born on May 25, 1958 in Fond du Lac, the son of Stephen and Charlotte Langenhorst Stortz.
Stephen married Debra Kuen on May 10m, 19865, at St. Mary’s Church in Lomira.
He was a 1976 graduate of Mayville High School. For the past 18 years. He was employed at Superior Services. All of his free time was spent with his home and his family.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie of Brownsville; children, Eric and Adam at home; parents Stephen and Charlotte of Mayville; two brothers, Michael (Dawn) Stortz of Horicon, and Daniel (special friend, Sue) Stortz of Mayville; three sisters, Kathleen (Tom) Greene, Patty (Mark) Wild and Connie (Todd) Zimmel, all of Mayville; mother-in-law, Lucille Kuen of Brownsville; one brother-in-law, Jeff (Mary Jo) Kuen of Brownsville; two sisters-in-law, Bev (Tom) Philipsky of Lomira; and Bonnie (Ricard) Pahl of Theresa; and nieces, nephews and one grandniece.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Sylvester Kuen; and a niece, Danielle Marie Stortz.
Services: Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2002, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Lomira with the Rev. Kevin Kowalski officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation: Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the time of services on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 202, at the church.
Memorials may be directed to the children of Stephen.
