Ted W. Habel, 71, of 847 Main St., Brownsville, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 1994.
He was born July 20, 1922, in Phillips, a son of Albert and Frances Regner Habel. On June 28, 1943, he married Angeline Marrese at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lomira.
Mr. Habel owned and operated Habel’s Auto Body in Brownsville for 42 years. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lomira and its Holy Name Society, and was an active member of the Legion of Mary. He was a charter member and past president of the Brownsville Lions Club.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Richard and his wife Louise of San Antonio, Texas, and Tony and his wife Monica of Tallahassee, Fla.; three daughters, Carol Hitchcock and her husband Richard of Berlin, Nancy Hayward and her husband Paul of Brownsville, and Cathy Rice and her husband Dave of Tampa, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; two step grandchildren; two brothers, Al and his wife Kathryn of Wisconsin Rapids, and Lad and his wife Kay of Phillips; one sister, Mildred Hawley of Phillips; and one sister-in-law, Agnes Habel of Milwaukee.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and one brother, Joseph.
Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lomira. The Rev. Steve Stradinger will officiate. Burial will be at the parish cemetery.
Visitation is at the church from 10 a.m. Saturday to the time of services.
Kietzer Funeral Home of Lomira is handling arrangements.
