MRS. JOE HEIMERL

Mrs. Joe (Viola) Heimerl, 68, of 240 Main St., Oakfield, died this morning, Sept. 19, 1978.  She was dead on arrival at St. Agnes Hospital due to an apparent heart attack.

She was born July 20, 1910, at Lomira, the daughter of the late Otto C. and Ida Ewald Steiner.  She was married to Joe R. Heimerl on Sept. 24, 1927, at St. John’s Catholic Church, Byron.

Mrs. Heimerl lived in Oakfield all her married life.  She was a member of St. James Catholic Church at Oakfield where she served as organist for nearly 25 years, and was also a member of the Altar Society.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Darold (Naomi) Collien of Oakfield and Mrs. Ervin (Gloria) Denzin of Route 2, Waupun; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Joss Steiner of Oakfield, Arnold Steiner of Fond du Lac and Herbert Steiner of Oshkosh.

Funeral services will be held at 10:15 a.m. Friday at Kohls Funeral Home, Oakfield, and at 10:340 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, Oakfield.  The Rev. Richard Fechhelm will officiate, and burial will be in Avoca Cemetery, Oakfield.

Visitation for Mrs. Heimerl will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
