William C. Ilker, 76, of 545 N. German St., Mayville, died Tuesday at St. Agnes Hospital following a lengthy illness.
He was born on July 21, 1899, in Milwaukee, a son of Mr. and Mrs. William Ilker Sr. On June 1, 1921, he married Frances Beck in Lomira. Mr. Ilker was employed by the former Northwest Iron Co. of Mayville for a number of years and then by the A. O. Smith Corp. of Milwaukee for four years. He returned to Mayville and was employed by the Wisconsin Power & Light Co. for 30 years until his retirement. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge.
Survivors include his widow; and one sister, Mrs. Walter Schellpfeffer Sr. of Mayville.
Funeral services will be held at 10:3 a.m. Friday from the Koepsell Funeral Home, Mayville, with the Rev C. A. Gunther of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Mayville officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery at Lomira.
Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. on Thursday.
